First of all, welcome! There are few things more exciting than the “new-project feeling,” and I’m basking in it right now. I’ve been on a major home decor and DYI kick over the last few months, so I decided to start this blog as a outlet to share ideas, hacks, great product finds and much more with a bigger audience. So, I’m thrilled you’re here and I hope you’ll come away with a little inspiration.
You can find out a little more on the About Me page. But here’s one thing to know about me right off the bat: I’m one of those fall-obsessed people. Ever year, I look forward to digging out the sweaters and thigh-high boots and the scarves. I love the colors of fall (I wear mustard yellow year-round) and the scents of fall and all things cozy.
So, for the longest time, I’ve wanted to put together one of those Pinterest-worthy fall trays. This year I finally got around to it and, well, I’m pretty darn proud of it. I purchased most of the products (scroll down for list) from Michaels and Amazon.
But after ordering most of the supplies online, I still felt there was something missing. I couldn’t figure out what, so I walked over to a local dollar store to browse for inspiration and found the most perfect paper sunflowers and equally small tin buckets which, when combined, turned out to be my favorite element of the tray.
The takeaway was this: While it’s nice to be intentional about a project like this and have a vision, it’s also satisfying to spend some time collecting pieces that speak to you and figure out later how they fit together.
